Positive body language is an important part of non-verbal communication. By using positive body language you can improve the first impression you give as well as help with your work communication.

Stand Up / Sit Up Straight

Good posture is important. When you sit up or stand up straight when talking to people, you seem more alert, interested and confident.

Eye contact

Making eye contact is important when having a conversation with someone as it shows that you are interested in and listening to what they are saying.

Uncross your arms

Keeping your arms crossed looks very defensive and closed-off. Have your arms relaxed by your sides for a more approachable look.

Smiling

Smiling is an important part of positive body language. Smiling and being friendly creates a positive response from the person you are speaking to.
